Autism is a neuro-developmental disorder characterized by persistent deficits in social communication, and restrictive and repetitive behaviors or interests🧩.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, autism affects an estimated 1 in 59 children in the United States today🌎🇺🇸. Therefore, it is fundamental for us to identify early signs/symptoms of autism in order to provide services early in life.⭐️

Consult with your pediatrician or pediatric neurologist AND take your child to a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) (specialist in language disorders) who will provide an evaluation to assess your child’s receptive, expressive and social language skills, depending on the results from the evaluation, the SLP will provide him/her with the tools to succeed and improve his/her quality of life 👨👩👧👦⭐️
