Consultations
OAK Therapy LLC firmly believes in making parents active participants in their child’s communication journey. During our consultations (online or in-person) we will meet with you (parents) to better understand your child’s unique linguistic needs and strengths in order to empower you to apply tangible strategies to expand your child’s communication skills during activities of daily living.
Types of Consultations
In-person or Online Consults:
- Obtain strategies to support your child’s communication and feeding skills at home! During our initial consultation, we will create a plan and short-term goals to support your unique child’s needs.
- Online Sessions will be held through Zoom
- In-Person Sessions will be held in our office
- Session length: 60-minutes
- Pricing:
- In-person sessions: $150
- Online sessions: $120
Follow-up Consults:
- Should you be interested, we would love to support your child’s journey through follow-up sessions (can be scheduled weekly/biweekly)
- Online Sessions will be held through Zoom
- In-Person Sessions will be held in our office
- Pricing:
- 30-minute sessions: $62.50
- 45-minute sessions: $93.75
- 60-minute sessions: $125
AAC Setup Consults:
- Obtain support from a communication expert on setting up your child’s Augmentative Alternative Communication Device. During this appointment, your SLP will walk you through setting up the software on your device, personalizing your child’s vocabulary and supporting motor planning.
- Initial AAC Consult: $125
- Initial AAC Consult: $125
- Follow Up Sessions can be booked to support AAC navigation, and strategies to support requesting, commenting and engaging in reciprocal interactions using the power of AAC.
- 30-minute sessions: $62.50
- 45-minute sessions: $93.75
- 60-minute sessions: $125
FAQ
Should I bring my child for a consultation?
No, this is a parent-only appointment. During this appointment you will be provided with a variety of strategies to support your child at home. Video feedback will be used to promote communication at home.
Can you help us set up an AAC (augmentative alternative communication) through a consultation?
Absolutely! Book a consultation and we would be happy to empower you in navigating the AAC world

Are Consultations Worth it?
- The current focus of language intervention is to empower parents use speech language strategies in activities of daily living (i.e., cooking, dressing, showering, washing dishes, playing, painting)
